About NeelGyan

Founder's Message

“Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day. Teach them to fish, and you feed them for a lifetime.”

— Manish Kumar Singh, Founder

Growing up in Goa in the mid-2000s, my family received two desktop computers under a state-government scheme — we paid just ₹1,000 for each. That one policy changed everything for my generation. In 2008 it introduced us to the internet, and for many of us it became a way to learn. My own journey — blogging, building online, connecting with the world — began with those computers at home.

I will always be grateful to the leaders who made sure students had access to technology. Today it feels like we have lost that vision — education keeps slipping down our list of priorities, and that is hard to watch.

Real progress does not come from short-term fixes. It comes from giving people the tools they need to succeed. That belief is what drives NeelGyan: to give every rural child the access they need to build their own future.
