About CMAT

What is CMAT?

Common Management Admission Test, or CMAT, is an NTA national-level computer-based test used for admission consideration by AICTE-approved institutions, university departments, constituent colleges and affiliated colleges that accept the score.

NTA conducted CMAT 2026 on 5 February and published the final answer key and scorecard on 17 February. NTA does not run one central MBA allotment process for all participating institutions.

CMAT Cut-off

Verified current-cycle status

Not published

Current status: NTA does not publish one central admission cut-off for all CMAT institutions.

Each participating institution decides its own shortlist threshold and selection process. A percentile estimate is not an official universal cut-off.

CMAT Preparation Strategy

A syllabus-first preparation route

  1. Establish a five-section baseline and prevent a weak section from being hidden by total score.
  2. Practise 100-question mocks under a three-hour limit and apply the −1 penalty in analysis.
  3. Maintain short daily general-awareness and innovation notes rather than cramming them at the end.
  4. Track institute applications while preparing because some forms close before or soon after the result.

CMAT Books and Official Material

  • CMAT 2026 information bulletin and official notices
  • One fundamentals source each for quantitative, reasoning and language skills
  • Current affairs and entrepreneurship notes plus full-length timed mocks

CMAT Previous Question Papers

Official question-paper resources

The NTA documents and final key are authoritative for the 2026 cycle. Use prior papers to practise section balance, not to predict an identical topic mix.

After each mock, measure both raw accuracy and the marks lost through wrong attempts.
