About SSC CHSL
What is SSC CHSL?
The Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination recruits for posts such as Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant and Data Entry Operator in participating central-government offices.
The current verifiable cycle is CHSL 2025. Tier I results were published on 27 February 2026, Tier II was held in April and SSC completed the online option-cum-preference stage in June. SSC had not published the final allocation on the official notice board by 2 August 2026.
Post eligibility and the Tier II skill requirement differ: some DEO posts require Class 12 Science with Mathematics, while LDC/JSA candidates take a typing test rather than the DEO data-entry test.

SSC CHSL Preparation Strategy
A syllabus-first preparation route
- Start with the official syllabus and one timed Tier I paper to establish accuracy by section.
- Practise 60-minute mixed mocks and review every wrong or guessed answer because Tier I applies negative marking.
- Do not postpone typing or data-entry practice until after Tier I; the required module is qualifying and depends on the posts you prefer.
- For Tier II, practise the larger English weight and the Computer Knowledge qualifying module alongside Mathematics, Reasoning and General Awareness.
Official-first SSC CHSL Preparation Stack
- Keep the current SSC notice and syllabus as the source of truth.
- Use NCERT mathematics texts to repair arithmetic, algebra and geometry fundamentals.
- Use one grammar and comprehension reference, then validate level and question style with SSC papers.
- Use SSC's own mock-test and previous-paper areas before relying on coaching reconstructions.
SSC CHSL Previous Question Papers
Official question-paper resources
SSC exposes previous-year question papers and examination resources from its candidate area. Availability can be time-limited, so save only material the Commission permits candidates to download.
