About AILET UG
What is AILET UG?
All India Law Entrance Test UG, or AILET UG, is National Law University Delhi's entrance examination for its B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) admission route. It is separate from CLAT.
NLU Delhi conducted AILET 2026 on 14 December 2025 and declared the result on 18 December. The university then ran invitation-based online counselling and category-wise provisional merit lists.
This record remains index:false because the next AILET cycle was not announced at verification time and the live official 2026 FAQ contains internally inconsistent numeric and worded application-fee amounts. Stable eligibility, pattern, seats and completed-cycle facts are included, but no fee is asserted until NLU Delhi corrects or supersedes that source.

AILET UG Application Process
How to use the official application route
- The AILET 2026 form is closed and the next cycle is not published. Future applicants should use NLU Delhi's official AILET portal, complete identity and Class XII data, upload the specified documents and pay only after a new notification resolves the fee.
- AILET is separate from CLAT. A CLAT application does not create an NLU Delhi B.A. LL.B. application under this route.
- Counselling is invitation-based after the result, but registration alone does not guarantee a seat. Category documents and admission eligibility are verified by NLU Delhi.

AILET UG Preparation Strategy
A syllabus-first preparation route
- Give Logical Reasoning the largest timed share because it carries 70 of 150 marks.
- Read current affairs daily and revise them through short issue-based notes.
- Practise two-hour offline papers with the −0.25 penalty and OMR discipline.
- Track the separate NLU Delhi notification; do not rely on CLAT dates for AILET.
AILET UG Books and Official Material
- NLU Delhi AILET exam-details and eligibility pages
- Official AILET result and counselling notices
- Reliable reading, reasoning and current-affairs practice plus timed prior papers
AILET UG Previous Question Papers
Official question-paper resources
Use the university's exam-details page to confirm the section structure before practising a prior paper.
A prior AILET paper is useful for style, but the next notification must control dates, fee and any pattern change.
AILET UG Frequently Asked Questions
Is AILET the same as CLAT?
No. AILET is NLU Delhi's separate entrance examination for its published programme routes.
What is the AILET UG pattern?
The latest official pattern has 150 questions: 50 English, 30 Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and 70 Logical Reasoning.
Is there negative marking?
Yes. A wrong answer loses 0.25 mark.
How many AILET-merit seats were listed?
The 2026 seat matrix listed 110 AILET-merit seats plus 10 additional foreign-national/OCI seats.
Why is the application fee omitted?
NLU Delhi's live 2026 FAQ contains conflicting numeric and worded amounts. This page will not invent which figure is correct.
Why is this page held from indexing?
The next cycle is not announced and the official fee source is internally inconsistent. Stable content is ready, but those gaps must be resolved first.
