About FMGE
What is FMGE?
The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination is the screening test administered by NBEMS for eligible Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India holding a primary medical qualification from outside India.
The June 2026 examination was held on 28 June and the result was declared on 7 July. NBEMS then issued a pass-certificate distribution notice; successful candidates must follow the allotted in-person document procedure.
Passing FMGE does not itself complete medical registration. Candidates must obtain the pass certificate and satisfy the applicable National Medical Commission and State Medical Council internship, documentation and registration rules.
