About NEET-MDS
What is NEET-MDS?
NEET MDS is the single eligibility-cum-ranking entrance examination for admission to MDS courses covered by the Dentists Act and the current admission rules. NBEMS conducts the examination and publishes the score and all-India rank; it does not allot every seat.
The 2026 examination was held on 2 May and NBEMS declared the result on 2 June. Qualified candidates must register separately with MCC for the seats under its jurisdiction or with the appropriate state or institutional authority.
A scorecard does not override BDS recognition, Dental Council registration, internship completion, category-document or counselling rules.

NEET MDS Application Process and Fees
Official application route and fee details
The 2026 form is closed. A future applicant should use the NBEMS NEET MDS page, create the requested account, complete personal, BDS, internship and registration fields, select test-city preferences, upload compliant images and pay through the official gateway.
Review all editable and non-editable fields before final submission. NBEMS correction windows are limited and document deficiencies can affect candidacy.
After the result, register separately with the counselling authority that controls the intended seats. Do not assume that NBEMS registration automatically enters MCC or state counselling.

Dental qualification
Recognised BDS
- Applicants need a recognised Bachelor in Dental Surgery qualification under the applicable law and regulations.
- The awarding institution and course must satisfy the current recognition rules.
Registration
State Dental Council
- Provisional or permanent registration must satisfy the bulletin and counselling authority.
- The original registration proof may be required during reporting.
Internship
12 months by 31 May 2026
- The compulsory rotatory internship had to be completed by the 2026 cut-off date.
- A later completion date does not become valid merely because the candidate took the examination.
Qualifying percentile
50th / 45th / 40th
- General and EWS candidates require the 50th percentile, UR PwD the 45th, and SC, ST and OBC candidates including their PwD candidates the 40th percentile under the bulletin.
- NBEMS may publish category cut-off scores corresponding to these percentiles.
NEET MDS Admit Card

NBEMS scheduled the admit card for 29 April. Candidates had to verify the test centre, reporting time, photograph and identification requirements.

- Candidates should combine subject revision with official-bulletin familiarity because the paper is locked into separately timed Part A and Part B windows.

- Build a BDS-subject revision map and give more cycles to weak clinical integrations.
- Practise 240-question, three-hour mocks with the 75-minute and 105-minute part locks.
- Review every negative-marking error by knowledge gap, misreading or over-attempting.
- Prepare registration and internship documents before counselling begins.
