About IIT JAM
What is IIT JAM?
Joint Admission Test for Masters, or IIT JAM, is the national computer-based examination used for admission consideration in specified postgraduate science programmes at IITs and for score-sharing routes published by participating institutes.
IIT Bombay organised JAM 2026. The examination was held on 15 February, results followed in March, and the additional/final admission round ran on 6 and 7 July. The official website states that the JAM 2026 admission process closed after that round.
JAM qualification does not guarantee admission, scholarship or employment. Candidates must satisfy the minimum educational qualification for each programme and the admission-round rules.
